10 Killer questions to ask learners when completing learner pogress reviews…

 1.  What have you learnt at work since our last progress review and how is this linked to the qualification /apprenticeship programme?

2. What new skills are they developing, how can this be evidenced?  

3. What new skills have you developed compared to your starting point?  

4. What stage of the programme are you at in relation to completing your course?

5. Are they on target to complete and achieve?

6. Are there any gaps in your development that need to be addressed through alternative methods, for example, work shadowing, work mentor- discuss with employer well in advance of any need!

7. How is their timekeeping and attitude at work (employer to provide information?

8. Have you taken on any additional responsibility since the last learner progress review? - if so are they trained to do these tasks and are they comfortable doing them? 

9. Have you achieved anything outside of work? (e.g. have they passed their driving test, won any competitions, looked after someone etc) - re-enforces the Health and Safety/Safeguarding aspects/ personal transferable learning skills.

10. Are you clear about the next steps, what is needed to progress and achieve your programme?
